DESHAZOR: A Celebration Service honoring the Life and Essence of Ms. Miriam Griffin DeShazor of Douglasville, Georgia who passed January 18, 2026 will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Sword of the Lord Churches International, 2810 Church Street East Point, Georgia; Overseer Roslyn Durham Eulogist and Pastor Carolyn Williams, Officiant. Interment, Kennedy Memorial Gardens. A viewing will be held Friday, January 30, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Home Chapel, 8968 Fayetteville Road Jonesboro, Georgia. Survivors are two children, Antonio (Elaine) Derrico, and Dahlia (Cory) Michelle Wooten; brother, Mylas Griffin; sisters, Clara Griffin, and Valarie (Jonathan) Jones, brother-in-law, Jesse Pressley; sixteen grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 10:30 a.m.
