SUMBRY-GARDNER: A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Lindsay Omaya Sumbry-Gardner of Hampton, Georgia, who passed January 10, 2020 will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020, 1:00 p.m. at Legacy Chapel, 8968 Fayetteville Rd., Jonesboro, Georgia, Pastor George Harkness, eulogist; Pastor Wilhelmenia D. DeVone-Harvey, eulogist and officiating. Interment, private. Survivors are mother, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Powers (Aretha); brothers, Mr. and Mrs. James T. Hendrix (Cheryl), and Mr. and Mrs. Maurice M. Hendrix (Tasonia); fiancé, Mr. Louis C. Allen III; daughter, Londyn M. Allen; aunts, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Henderson (Eva Jean), Mr. and Mrs. Kunte Herrmann (Linda), Ms. Sandra Hayes, and Ms. Vanessa Lindsey; uncles, Mr. and Mrs. Rodney “Ronnie” Hendrix (Denise), Mr. Robert Sumbry, Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. Victor Sumbry (Judith); former spouse, Mr. Deondrey Gardner; and a host of nieces, nephews, career family, other relatives, and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble the chapel at 11:30 p.m.
