JONES: A Service honoring the Life and Spirit of Mrs. Julia Mae James of Atlanta, Georgia who passed away November 28, 2023 will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Southwest Congregational Church, 2390 Niskey Lake Road, SW Atlanta, Georgia; Reverend James S. Miller, Sr., Pastor, officiant and eulogist. Interment, Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. A Viewing will be held Friday, December 8, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Home Chapel, 8968 Fayetteville Road, Jonesboro, Georgia. Survivors are two sons, Calvin (Smiley) James and Terry (Lena) James; goddaughter, Flora (Joe) Eatman; sister, Doris P. Walker;  grandchildren, Carl James, Sadrena (Mitch) Maddox, Craig James, and Christopher (Tanganiyka) James; great grandchildren, Janiya, Jabre, Cameron, Sydney, and Mckenzie; great-great grandson, Zay’re; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 10:30 a.m.
