Ma began her working career with the Head Start Program, where she taught for a few for a few years before moving on to the then Vitelco Telephone Company for many years. Ma enjoyed her retirement by visiting her family on St. Croix, USVI, and the US, along with several cruises. In addition, she raised three of her grandchildren.
