BROWN: A Celebration Service honoring the Life and Spirit of Mrs. Emily J. Philpot Brown of Atlanta, Georgia who passed October 16, 2025 will be held Friday, October 24, 2025, 12:00 noon at Welcome Friend Baptist Church, 3198 Bouldercrest Road, Ellenwood, Georgia; Rev. Kelvin Daniels, Pastor and Officiant and Dr. John H. Smith, Pastor Emeritus and Eulogist. Interment, Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Home, 8968 Fayetteville Road Jonesboro, Georgia. Survivors are two sons, Tellious Brown and Quiner (Courtney) Brown both of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters, Sarah (Curtis) Reid of Riverdale, Georgia, and Hattie Mae Philpot of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Chianti Brown. Tellious Brown, II, Alexander Pippins, Arie Brown, and Amia Brown; great-granddaughter, Milani Brown; and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 11:30 a.m.
