SLONES-DURR: A Celebration honoring the Life of Mrs. Dorothy M. Slones-Durr of Atlanta, Georgia who passed August 4, 2023 will be held Saturday, August 12, 2023, 12:00 noon at Siloam Church International, 3695 Roosevelt Highway, Atlanta, Georgia; Dr. Jonathon C. Carter, Senior Pastor, Reverend Mark N. Slones, Eulogist and Reverend Dr. Carl H. Moncrieff, Sr., Officiant. Interment, Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held Friday, August 11, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and from 3:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Home, 8968 Fayetteville Road, Jonesboro, Georgia. Remains will lie in repose on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Survivors are her son, Mark (Tarsha) N. Slones; her daughter, Leah Michele Slones; grandchildren, Jordan M. Slones, and Mariah M. Slones; siblings, Elizabeth Ann Fay, Gwendolyn Gamble, and Deborah (Charles) Smith; one bonus daughter; four step children; and a host of other loving relatives, her beloved Bethlehem Baptist Church family, and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 11:30 a.m.
