Carolyn K. Heyward, HR, Officiant and Rev. Dr. Charles Heyward, Sr., Eulogist. Interment, Monday, June 1, 2026, Georgia National Cemetery. Survivors are his beloved wife, Mary Lois (Smith) Kurtz; children, Jacqueline Bennett, Cartrelia (Nesie) Sampson, Sandra Kurtz-Henry (Tracy), Zondra Kurtz, Kem Kurtz, and Otis Jethro Kurtz, Jr.; grandchildren, Rashaan Bennett (April), Ahmaan Bennett (Irnesa), Mike Hall (Joanna), Raeshonna Corder (Chablis), Chrissy Gracie, TeErica Walker, Kerri Kurtz, Albert Walker IV, Cursten Kurtz, Corless Collins, Rhea Heard, Zaviere Sampson, Nicolas Sampson, Amber Kurtz, Ethan Kurtz, and Evan Kurtz; great-grandchildren Desiree Bennett, Samyra Bennett, Christina Bennett, Janissa Bennett, Keaton Hall, Jace Hall, Brennan Hall, Timothy Gilmore, Jr., Kyler Louis, Angela Hamilton, Malik Harrell, Amberelle Kurtz, Isis Lily Kurtz, Tre’Von Collins, Tavion McElrathbey, Christopher Smith (CJ), Camari Collins, Yarnez Willis and Cairo McPhee; brother Claude Kurtz (Geraldine); sisters, Betty Jo Hall, Carrie Mae Jones (Lonell), and Carolyn Hayward (Christopher); and a host of nieces,  nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
