FARRIS: Mr. Marshall Leon Farris “Short Stuff” or “Birdman,” of Jonesboro, Georgia passed away peaceful in the comfort of his own home. A man of few words, he could give you a look that said it all; from you know I mean business to everything will be alright. A hard-working man to the end. His love for fishing will live forever. He leaves to cherish his love and life his wife, Sherry Sandridge Farris; children, Juanita Tyler-Kennedy, Kamillya (Hakeem, Sr.) Hunter, Neiamaha Herring, and Isaiah (Felicia) Herring; grandchildren, Marcus Tyler, Jaxyn Hunter, Genevieve Hunter, Hakeem Hunter, Jr., Jasper Mullen, Jr., Leland Herring, and Landon Herring; siblings, Rosemary Smith, Joyce Farries, Stan (Areta) Farries, Brenda Farries, Carolyn (John) Rattliff, Gary (Omaria) Farries, Vivian Clayton, Sherry Currie-Farries, and Brian (Brenda) Farries; special nephew brother, Eric (Susana) Farries; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. A private service will be held.
