GASTON: A Celebration Service honoring the Life and Legacy of Mr. Joseph Michael Gaston “Joe Black” of East Point, Georgia who passed February 27, 2021 will be held Sunday, March 7, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Badgett Stadium, 3636 College Street College Park, Georgia; Minister Felix Crowder, officiant. Interment, Forest Hills Memorial Garden. Remains will lie in repose for viewing on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Home, 8968 Fayetteville Road Jonesboro, Georgia. Survivors are his wife, Patricia Gaston; four children, Jeno Gaston (Carla), Rotonda Gaston-Tolbert (Monroe), Eyana Gaston-Briggs (Earl), and Quincy Gaston (Ebony); grandchildren, Ajah Gaston, Joseph “Jojo” Gaston, Chelsea Edwards, Jeno Gaston, Jr., Madison Briggs, Liberty Tolbert, and Harmony Gaston; his siblings, Jerry Gaston, Sylvia Clark (Stanley), Mirriam Brown, Maxine Dyer (Terry), Tracey Gaston (Jackie), Chevelyn Plummer (Driq), Karl Gaston (Lawanda), and Renzer Ham; siblings-in-law, Geraldine Nelson, Danielle Hughey, Lovette Allen (Grady), Ingrid Smith, and Ted Welch (Rebecca), and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted grandchildren, co-workers, and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the stadium at 10:30 a.m.
