JONES: A Homegoing Celebration for Mr. John Jones, Jr. of Powder Springs, Georgia will be held Sunday, July 18, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Home Chapel, 8968 Fayetteville Road Jonesboro, Georgia; Rev. Oscar Merideth, officiating. Interment, Monday, July 19, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. Survivors are his companion, Melissa Treadway; three sons, Terrance L. (Angela Larson) Jones, John (Christina) Jones III, and Martelles (Cassandra) Jones; one daughter, Sheria (Jamie) Jones-Dean; brothers, Willie Jones, Jr., Eddie J. Jones; sisters, Willie D. Vanable, Louise (Ivory) Flannigan, Luella Jones, Carrie Fletcher, Ernestine (John) Steele, Mattie Jones, and Deniece (Bobby) Parker; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the chapel at 12:30 p.m.
