LUCAS: A Homegoing Celebration honoring the Life and Legacy of Mr. Jimmie L Lucas, Sr. will be held Friday, January 22, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Legacy Funeral Home Chapel, 8968 Fayetteville Road Jonesboro, Georgia Guide Jimmie L. Lucas, Jr., officiating. Interment, Private. Survivors are his daughter, Mrs. Joyce D. Dove (Franklin ‘Frank’) of Arizona; sons, Mr. Jimmie L. Lucas, Jr. (Phyllis A.), and Mr. Dewong Lucas (Angelica ‘Angie’) both of Georgia; daughter, Ms. Aletha Henry of Mississippi; extended family, Ms. Diana Davis, and Ms. Carla Jean Parker both of New York; goddaughter, Ms. Gina Ushry of Georgia; one brother, Mr. Jesse Lucas (Elizabeth) of California; over sixty grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
