RUSHING: A Celebration service honoring the Life and Legacy of Mr. Edward Rushing of Riverdale, Georgia who passed October 4, 2025, will be held Monday October 13, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Light of Joy Church, 7485 GA-Highway 85 Riverdale, Georgia. Dr. Frank Salters Officiant and Eulogist; Interment will take place Friday October, 17, 2025, Glen Oak Cemetery 4301 Roosevelt Road, Hillside, IL. A viewing will be held Sunday October 12, 2025 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Home, Inc. 8968 Fayetteville Road, Jonesboro, Georgia. He is survived by his children, Edward Rushing III, Lashon Rushing, Sherice (Brian) Davis, Shamara Rushing, Eric Rushing; sisters, Elaine (Dewitt) Williams, Mary Ann Moore; five grandchildren; and a host of other close relatives and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 10:45 a.m.
