GROOMES: A Service honoring the Life and Memory of Mr. Donald J. Groomes of Jonesboro, Georgia who passed March 12, 2023 will be held Saturday, March 18, 2023, 1:30 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Home Chapel, 8968 Fayetteville Road, Jonesboro, Georgia; Pastor Carrie Bunson, eulogist. Interment, private. Survivors are his wife, Diane J. Groomes; daughter, Leslie (Anthony) Parker; grandchildren, Kavon, Kyrie, and Phoenix; sisters, Beauty P. Barnes, Mary E. Jackson, Deborah G. Brown, Carrie A. Stephens, Elaine Williams, and Katie G. Brannon; brothers, Harry B. Groomes, and Robert C. Groomes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the chapel at 1:00 p.m.
