BLACK: A Service honoring the Life and Legacy of Mr. Conell Black "Connie" of Jonesboro, Georgia will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Legacy Funeral Home Chapel, 8968 Fayetteville Rd., Jonesboro, Georgia; Bishop Donald E. Battle, eulogist, Elder Darryl Williams, officiating. Interment, Camp Memorial Park. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Nancy Black; two daughters, Jacqueline Black (Joseph), Regina Black Birdsong of Florida (Corey); five grandchildren, Anthony Moore II, Demetrius Powell II, Arielle Moore, Iyana Lyles and Bryaunna Powell; five great-grandchildren, Alaiya Moore, Aniya Moore, Ami Moore, Delani Powell, and Demani Powell; three brothers: Earnest Pender (Earline), Jessie Pender, and Carl Pender (Rosaline); five sisters, JoAnn Postell, Deborah Black, Felicia Levins, Ursula Kirnes-Maxwell (Kenneth) of Florida and Debra Arline; two brothers-in-law, Lawrence Smith (Deborah) and Malachi Smith of Atlanta; three sisters-in-law, Gwendolyn Smith of Atlanta, Michele Smith Hecter (Serge) and LouEllen Smith-Monard (Jacques) of New Jersey; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the chapel at 10:30a.m.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Donell Black; brother, Jerome Pender; and two sisters-in-law, Martha Epps and Debra McNair.
