CIVIL: Berthony Civil, devout Christian and God’s faithful servant, transitioned from this life on Sunday, September 5th, 2021; awaiting for the Heavenly Father’s promise to be reunited with Him for eternity.
A celebration of life service honoring the life and legacy of Mr. Berthony Civil of Jonesboro, Georgia will commence on September 18th, 2021 with a viewing to be held from 4-6pm at Legacy Funeral Home Chapel located at: 8968 Fayetteville Road, Jonesboro, GA 30238.
The funeral service will be held the following day on September 19th, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Ebenezer French SDA Church located at: 851 Constitution Rd SE, Atlanta, GA 30315. An escorted procession to Crestlawn Cemetery in Atlanta, GA will proceed following the church ceremony.
Berthony Civil is survived by his loving wife, Marie Elsie Paul-Civil; his sons Clifford Civil and Brian Civil; his daughter Thonya Civil; his granddaughter Aubry Fadika; his brother Francois Guy Darbouze; his sisters: Michele Buteau, Marie Evelyne Berette, Besline Civil Phillipe, Chrislène Civil; his mother Odette Bernard; his in-laws the Paul family; and a host of other close relatives, friends, and church family.
Berthony truly lived his life with a shining ray of light and always exuded pure positivity regardless of circumstances, good or bad. He was a very generous, kind, and selfless man who uniquely and distinctly touched every individual who was afforded the opportunity to know him. He was a role model and a source of great inspiration for his countless good deeds. He will be deeply missed and remembered fondly by many.
