DECUIR: A Service honoring the Life and Legacy of Dr. Michael Decuir of Ellenwood, Georgia who passed March 10, 2025, will be held Sunday, March 16, 2025, 3:00 p.m. at Davage Auditorium in Haven-Warren Hall on the campus of Clark Atlanta University, 156 Mildred Street, SW Atlanta, Georgia. Reverend Launette Hayes, Eulogist and Minister Reisha Jones, Mistress of Ceremony. Interment, Providence Memorial Park, Metairie, Louisiana. Remains will lie in repose for viewing from 2:00 p.m. until the hour of service. A public viewing will be held Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Home Chapel, 8968 Fayetteville Road Jonesboro, Georgia. Survivors are his wife, Lynn H. Decuir, two sons, David (Genetta) Decuir and Jamar (Calandra) Smith; daughter, Nakiya Coakley; niece, Ebony (Christopher) Daniels; Mother, Laura Bax; father, Donald (Jackie) Decuir; siblings, David Decuir, Veronica Mathieu, Katherine (Marlon Wright) Decuir, Anna (Rob Herndon) Decuir, Claudine Decuir, and Karen Allen; seven grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, other loving relatives and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the auditorium at 2:30 p.m.
