PARKS: A Service honoring the Life and Legacy of Dr. D’Avante D. Parks of Fairburn, Georgia The Mayor’s Chief of Staff for the city of Fairburn, Georgia and the Commissioner of the Metro Atlanta Youth Football League passed September 6, 2024 will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Open Word Christian Ministries, 6250 Hwy 92, Fairburn, Georgia; Pastor Gary Taylor, Senior Pastor and Minister Alfred Lee Troy, Jr., Eulogist. Interment, private. A viewing will be held Friday, September 20, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Legacy Funeral Home Chapel. Remains will lie repose on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Survivors are mother, Barbara Brewster; sister, Lenise (Brenda) Parks; nephews, Lee Reese, Justin (Courtney) Parks, Kendrick Parks, and Cameron Parks; uncle, K C (Patricia) Marks; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 10:30 a.m.
