Cheryl Beiter Obituary

In Loving Memory of Cheryl Anne Chaloult Hall Beiter

August 16, 1945- February 27, 2024

Atlanta- Cheryl Anne Chaloult Hall Beiter, went home to be with our Lord on February 27, 2024. She was born on August 16, 1945, to Wilbert and Audrey (Gero) Chaloult in Caribou, Maine where she grew up on a potato farm with her brother Galen, and many cousins. These early years of hard, simple living created bonds amongst them which lasted a lifetime. Cheryl cherished her family and delighted in remembering their many shared experiences. She graduated from Caribou High in 1963. Her early adult years were devoted to raising her children and working at Morrow High School. She retired from AT&T in Atlanta after many years of service.

A dedicated member of St. Philip Benizi Catholic Church, Cheryl actively participated in small groups, faith formation groups and being a Eucharistic minister at church and in the hospital. Her unwavering faith was not merely a personal conviction but a beacon that illuminated the path for others. She found solace in prayer, offered comfort to those in need, and approached life's challenges with grace and resilience. Cheryl also volunteered for many years at her local hospital where she was able to share the love of Jesus with those who were hurting.

Beyond her spiritual pursuits, Cheryl was a loving and nurturing presence within her family. As a wife, mother and grandmother she created a home filled with warmth and love. One unique way Cheryl showed her love for her family was her handmade greeting cards. Each one was a showcase for her humor and creativity. They were a joy to receive and a hallmark of her love for the recipient. Her legacy lives on through the generations she touched, leaving behind a family bound together by the strong foundation of faith she laid.

Cheryl is preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald Beiter and her brother Galen Chaloult.

She is survived by a daughter, Teri Hall Townsend (Joey), sons Mark Hall, Damian Beiter (Jill), Denis Beiter (Laura), and Theo Beiter (Kimberly). She also leaves behind 10 grandchildren- Tim Hall, Ella, Anna, Kathryn, Eric, Alex, Eli, Therese, Emily and Matthew, who will forever cherish her laughter, kind spirit and joy that she found in them. She is also survived by a loving God daughter, Aimee Brooks. As we mourn her passing, let us also celebrate the remarkable life Cheryl lived and the countless lives she touched with her kindness and compassion. She will be especially remembered for her unwavering humor and magnetic personality.

A funeral mass to honor Cheryl's life will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, 3:00pm at St. Philip Benizi Church,  591 Flint River Road, Jonesboro, Georgia. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to Volusia Recovery Alliance in Ormand Beach Florida, a cause close to Cheryl's heart. https://volusiarecoveryalliance.org/donate/. May Cheryl rest in eternal peace, and may her legacy of faith, love, and compassion continue to inspire and uplift us all.
